Program/Project: DC-1 Program/DCSS Task 4.4 – Systems Management

Location: 50 F Street NW, Washington, DC 20001

Job Description –Essential Responsibilities

  • Assist and provide direct Production Reporting support to client and assist with the day-to-day standard ticketing requests and reports
  •  Write procedures for the purpose of maintaining the system and data records efficiently
  • Perform queries for data analysis and or/matrix and ensure accuracy of ad hoc/standard operational reports to support the business need of client
  • Responsible for driving request resolution and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Ability to apply a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments
  •  Perform tuning of queries for transaction based data validations
  •  Troubleshoot issues and diagnose common system problems to support business need of client; utilize standard tools to record change and problem activities for tracking purposes; document system events
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Identify, implement solutions and refine procedures as appropriate based on client needs

Roles and Responsibilities & Expectations include:

  •  Self-starter; motivated individual with attention to detail and ability to work under pressure, independently and/or as part of a team
  •  Good communication skills
  •  Scripting knowledge (bash, shell or PERL)
  • Knowledge of UNIX commands
  •  Experience working in one of more UNIX environments (Linux, AIX and/or Solaris)
  •  Experience working with Oracle, SQL and PL/SQL in large scale back-end database management system
  • Ensure applications change management requirements are met, coordinated and tested
  • Previous development experience in Java, C++ and PERL is a plus, but not required
  •  Ability to manage time, work independently or within a team
  •  Experience working with Unix Environments (Linux, AIX and/or Solaris)
  •  Experience working with Unix commands and/or one or more scripting language (bash, shell and/or PERL)
