We partnered with MUMU Cafe, a new neighborhood café in Arlington, Virginia, to create a brand as fresh, inviting, and thoughtful as their menu. Focused on simple ingredients, healthy options, and a welcoming atmosphere, MUMU needed a visual identity that felt warm, modern, and personal. From concept to execution, we worked closely with the team to build a cohesive brand experience that reflects care, quality, and community—setting the foundation for a café designed to feel like home.

Branding a neighborhood favorite
Designing A Fresh Logo & Brand for MUMU Cafe
We partnered with MUMU Cafe early on to develop a brand that felt warm, fresh, and genuinely inviting—just like their food and space. At the core of the identity is a custom illustrated heart logo that serves as the brand’s icon and emotional foundation. Using the geometry of the heart, we created a custom typeface for the MUMU nameplate, giving the brand a truly one-of-a-kind look. A carefully curated color palette, complementary typography, and the tagline “Made with Love” brought everything together into a clean, cohesive, and memorable brand system.

Creating an inviting space through signs & display
With the brand established, we applied the new identity across the café’s physical environment. From exterior signage and menus to packaging and in-store displays, each piece was thoughtfully designed to feel friendly, modern, and approachable. The result is a cohesive branded experience that welcomes guests in, reinforces MUMU’s values, and creates a warm neighborhood atmosphere—whether customers are stopping by on the go or staying to enjoy the space.
