MUMU Cafe is a new, local cafe and brand that just opened up their first location in Arlington, Virginia. Using fresh and simple ingredients, MUMU serves healthy yet delicious food and unique specials that can be enjoyed on the go or inside the cozy, welcoming neighborhood cafe.

MUMU partnered with us early on to help develop a brand for the cafe that was unique, inviting, healthy and fresh, just like their menu. After going through our thorough discovery and collaboration process, we achieved this by illustrating a custom heart logo mark that would serve as the brand icon. Then, using only shapes from the heart, we designed a custom-made font for the MUMU nameplate to match the icon. We then curated fonts and colors that accentuated the brand and established a clean, comprehensive look. Next, we developed the tagline “Made with Love” to tie everything together into one seamless brand experience.  Lastly, we strategically utilized those brand assets to design the signage, menus, and packaging, giving the new cafe a friendly, modern, and welcoming branded environment.

After going through the process and receiving my BRAND from Elxel, I realized that this was the most crucial piece of my business. This company gave me the answers to so many crucial questions and helped me make my vision and company tangible.
