DC Villages is a network of thirteen individual non-profit organizations/Villages located in the District of Columbia which operates as a collaborative. Participating Villages share information, resources, and strategies to strengthen the individual Villages, all of which serve specific areas or neighborhoods within the city. The DC Villages work together to bring services to underserved parts of the community and to support neighborhood groups looking to start new Villages.
DC Villages partnered with us to create an entire new brand for the organization as a whole. They needed a unique logo design, a custom, easy to use website, and an effective marketing strategy. They wanted a unifying, inviting, and neighborly brand identity that could be easily recognized and utilized by all thirteen villages.
We achieved this by designing a custom illustrated logo that represents the different neighborhoods and communities that make up the DC Villages. From there, we created a clean and unifying brand identity using friendly, inviting fonts and colors that wouldn’t clash with the existing individual village branding. Next, we custom designed and developed a simple and easy to navigate website that displayed their new branding, company values, and clearly outlined their unique services. Lastly, we created and designed a wide variety of new marketing materials for both online and print including impact reports, advertisements, meeting materials, signage, and much more.
We now work closely with DC Villages on their marketing and outreach strategies creating marketing campaigns and timelines to achieve specific goals and metrics using google and social media ads, SEO, and custom designed marketing materials such as mailers, brochures, and print ads.
Working with Elxel has been a great experience. We brought them a challenging project and they worked their way through it, asking the right questions and turning out great ideas and visuals. Sammy is generous, flexible, knowledgeable and patient. I’ve been very impressed!”
